Buddy is doing well, and has been without insulin injections since last Spring.
He is alert, active, and playful. He does not show any clinical signs of diabetes. It will be time to check his blood sugar again, soon.
Since his feline diabetes diagnosis 11 months ago, he has become much sweeter to humans, and much more easy to handle.
I don’t currently have to give him insulin, attach pumps and CGMs. I am so glad that he was pretty chill when we had to do that.
Of course we hope that he will stay in remission, but if not, I am confident that we can deal with that as well.
In the meantime, here are a few recent photos of our Closed-Loop-Kitty, in remission.

He also needs to work on his boyish figure. Buddy is a big (long, tall, and muscular) cat, but he should lose at least another pound. Gros matou gris! 🐈⬛
